Is your hot tub over heating?

This is very common during the hot summer periods that a good quality hot tub can over heat. Customers call us saying they cannot lower the temp and they think it's a fault. Actually this is quite common. When we produce a high quality hot tub we ensure it has great insulation to keep running costs down for the consumer. However this does have a knock effect during hot summer months that the spa will over heat. This is quite natural. So what can be done about it? There's a few options. A) Remove some on the inside insulation if your hot tub is made that way. I would not advise this as within a few weeks the British weather will change and you'll want to put it back in again. B) Add some cold water. C) Double check your filtration settings. Too much filtration can add to this problem. Reduce your overall filtration time and see if that helps. D) Be patient and wait for cooler weather!!!
