Well it’s similar to cars. Over the lifetime of a spa you will, at some stage, need to replace some parts. . If you have a ford you go to the ford dealership or a Seat to the Seat dealership. But without a brand where do you go? If the salesperson told you the parts were generic and interchangeable they were lying. Only about 10% of a spa is generic.
So why is this important? Well without access to parts your spa is useless. Some items like a pillow you might be able to live without but jets, divertors, venturi controls etc are all vital. The spa will not function without them.
We get many calls each week for replacement parts for spas that are unbranded and thus we have to give these customers the bad news that these parts are not available. We ask where they bought the spa to often be told they bought online and now that company has closed or gone bust. So when we tell them that their hot tub is not fixable you can imagine their upset. Their lovely spa that they paid thousands for is now useless. How can that be?
Well my advice is don’t get caught in this trap. Buy a branded spa from a company you trust that will be still in business for years to come to support you. If you bought a cheap spa on the net it might turn out to be the most expensive error you’ve ever made!
